How to use Pantone Colour of the Year 2018 in kids rooms

Learning how to use Pantone Colour of the Year 2018 in kids rooms is officially my mission for the next however long.
I actually felt a little nauseous when I heard that Ultra Violet was making a comeback.
And it’s not because I don’t dig Prince’s theme. I was just starting building up my 2017 greenery decor.
Bugger.

(without looking like a tin of purple paint exploded)
You’ve got two options here. You can add small pops of purpley goodness, embracing a subtle change.
Option 2? Go hard or go home.
If you’re not quite brave enough for Option 2 (pfffft chicken), then here are some bits and pieces that would introduce Ultra Violet into your life.
I’ve even included stuff for boys, proving that Ultra Violet is for ERRRRRYONE!
ESSENTIAL: you must play Prince’s Purple Rain while styling with Ultra Violet. It says so on the Pantone website, I swear.

See it in use in our Space Themed Room from a while ago!
Candylab Plum 50

I couldn’t resist adding some of my favourite pinterest ideas of hacks and styles to give you some inspo too:
How to use Pantone Colour of the Year 2018 – Upcycle it!
If you’ve got a hankering for Ultra Violet and a passion (tolerance?) for painting, combine the two and add some purple rain to your furniture.
Just remember that the shades don’t always have to perfectly match. Combining different shades of purple, as well as choosing colours that complement the violet tones will make more of an impact than trying ultra hard to go all Ultra Violet.
Above all – have fun with it. I have a feeling there is waaaaay more cool stuff coming from this colour palette!
