I heart I Heart Designs
Nope, that’s not a typo.
Although I am prone to repeating myself, given that as parents we repeat ourselves 8million times per day (am I right??).
BUT it’s true. I really do love I Heart Designs.
I was lucky enough to receive one of Tessa’s beautiful hangers, and now I’m hooked.
Tessa makes wooden cherrywood dreamcatchers, doiley dreamcatchers, fabric dreamcatchers, wooden garlands & wooden kites.
You know, just in the spare moments she gets between looking after her 2 beautiful babes.
This is the design that I chose to style in my home for I Heart Designs. It’s the Look Up and Discover the World Wall Hanging, and it’s made from Tasmanian Oak with a glittery black acrylic moon.
What do you think of it hanging here in Rhys’ little play corner?
We all know what a hard slog it is to make it in the making it business.
Tessa told me that she used to go for a couple of walks each day when she became a mum which automatically makes her my idol right there seeing as most days all I manage to do is walk to the letterbox then scamper back to the house (mental note – go for more walks before summer hits).
While I’d undoubtedly come back from a walk with sunburn and a whingy toddler, Tessa came home with doilies (legit finds, don’t worry. She wasn’t raiding houses – more like op shops and second hand stores).
Doilies turned into research, turned into creativity, which turned into dreamcatchers – which has since transitioned to become I Heart Designs.
You know I’m all about versatility, so I love the fact that Tessa’s pieces can be for the little ones or for grown up spaces.
The beautiful materials mean that you can mix and match it with your existing decor depending on where you put it.
Like this, for example:
Or change the look totally with something like this:
Look at the crazy gorgeous detail in this one. Just enough sparkle to be magical, yet not too much that it dominates the feel of the piece.
Or, to put it as simply as one of my boys said, “it’s not too girly, it just looks pretty like the sky at night”.
Is that not the best description ever??
I used it in a few other shoots too, and each time it looked like it was meant to be there.
Over the past two years, Tessa’s range grew from dream catchers, to include wooden decor, wooden dreamcatchers and lasercut products, which means she’s BUSY BUSY creating new designs all the time.
Which is torture, because it means that everytime I see her Instagram feed, I get an urge to buy another piece.
Long story short, if you’re looking for a dreamcatcher or wall hanging that is beautifully made, with a classic design that will stand the test of time – have a chat with Tessa at I Heart Designs.
I promise you won’t regret it 🙂
Love, Kel x
