Simba Mattress: the most comfortable mattress EVER
Ok, so EVER might be a little hard to prove, but seriously – the Simba Mattress would be hard to beat.
(And yes, I’d be willing to try every mattress in the world- you know, for quality control purposes. Is that a real job???).
We were lucky enough to be sent a Simba Mattress to roadtest. Sophie’s double mattress felt like someone had grabbed a whole lot of tin cans and put a layer of cotton wool around them, so we knew she would be the lucky one to try it out.
The last time I went to the shops to buy a mattress, it was the most awkward experience in the world loading it onto the car.
And there really is no easy way to carry your regular mattress. UNTIL now, of course.
Meeting our Simba Mattress
So our Simba Mattress knocks on our door, all boxed up.
The kids are fighting over who is having the box (I’m tempted to use it for a fort for me), meanwhile Sophie is busy clearing out her room faster than I’ve ever seen before.
(PS if you ever need a bed stripped and a pathway cleared in a hurry, this girl can do it in record time as long as there is a new mattress at the finish line).
She was skeptical. Hubs was skeptical. And I’m acting all cool because I knew all the time how convenient having a mattress delivered like this is.
And I’m kind of regretting not getting one for us instead of Sophie.
Why is the Simba Mattress SO SO SO good?
I always imagined a mattress like some foam, some springs and some padding and VOILA – you have a bed.
Turns out there is a little more to it than that. Like 2500 springs more to it than that.
We’re talking 5 layers more to it. And yep, it comes in a box. And no, it doesn’t explode out of it. The kids watched on in fascination as it took shape after we opened it. Next time, I’ll have to record their faces – seriously they were in awe of how a mattress can appear from a box.
When did mattresses ever get this cool?
I’m not going to go into the technical aspects of the Simba Mattress, because lets face it I have no idea what I’m talking about.
I know the top layer is hypoallergenic and helps keep you cool. Then there’s a luxury layer which sounds divine, especially when it’s over the top of a bazillion springs that are designed to support you from every angle.
Then you’ve got memory foam, and a base with more support than you can poke a stick at.
UMMMMMM ok that sounds awesome in writing.
But most importantly – it walks the walk (or sleeps the sleep, as the case may be). It feels amazing in real life.
And I think hubs regretted not getting it for us as well, just quietly.
I know that because he didn’t want to get off it when he was “testing” it’s sleep-ability.
It just kind of hugs you without being too clingy, does that make sense??
And yes, by this stage we were officially jealous of our teenager’s bed.
What we REALLY think of the Simba Mattress
To be really (but honestly) cliche, this mattress is not too hard, nor is it too soft.
I went in with an open mind, and ended up not wanting to get out. It feels like you are sleeping on a supportive cloud (you can’t even feel the person next to you moving around!).
Of course I had to check with the actual owner of the bed, Miss 13.
Her response: “yep, it’s really comfy”. That’s about as much response as a teenager gives sometimes.
But if you were to translate that response into adult terms, it means “this is the best mattress ever and I am having the best sleep at night ever” (that’s a legit actual teen to adult translation too).
What else I like about it
Guess whhaaaaaat???? Simba have a 100 night trial, so if you’re not convinced by the end of the 100 nights, you can return it for a full refund.
I always feel a little better shopping online when a brand stands by their product like that.
They have next day delivery too… and you can even get $150 off your purchase (the info is on the Simba Mattress website).
If you’re keen on a Simba mattress, go check out their website. You won’t regret it, plus there’s no more awkies business of trying to carry a mattress under your arm lol.
Goldilocks would be one happy intruder if she came across a Simba I think.
Happy sleep everyone xxx
